EARWAX
Earwax, also known as cerumen, is a normal secretion in the ear canal that protects the ear from infection, assists in cleaning and lubrication, and also provides some protection against bacteria, fungi, insects, and water. However, any overproduction or failure in the ear’s self-cleaning mechanism leads to the formation of earwax impaction.
